Dr. Várnai Rupert LL.M.

Rupert is Chief Executive Officer of both the Cathay Partners platform and the law firm, and leads our Shanghai office. Until 2014 he worked as a Global Partner coordinating the international expansion of an Asian law firm. He is a co-founder of the international Cathay Associates law-firm network and of Cathay Partners, which coordinates legal, tax, accounting, IP and market-entry work. He advises Hungarian and international companies on investment, cross-border cooperation, trade and M&A projects. Rupert is an arbitrator of the Weihai International Arbitration Court and served on the Supervisory Board of the Hungarian Football Association from 2012 to 2019.
